BOOK SIGNING IN THE LIBRARY OF CUNARD’S QUEEN MARY 2 AFTER A SERIES OF TALKS ABOARD THIS LUXURY LINER

I am deeply grateful to have been born in Africa, in the 1960’s this gave me a social synchronisation and an ease with people which maybe I would not have found. (And an appetite for a party!)  I have always loved words and literature and after the study of English and French literature at universities   in England and France  I was able to use those tools to create my book which  I am told is full of incisive verbal quip and good descriptive prose.    Someone said to me on this last cruise “Blimey you’ve had more adventures than Biggles”   I loved that because I know  have always taken my chances, grabbed those opportunities in life  (much to the eyebrow raising shoulder shrugging annoyance of some boyfriends who called me a butterfly flitting from flower to flower!)

Having finally qualified as a commercial pilot after a rocky beginning being turned down as an air hostess I was fortunate enough to fly executive jets and travel the world on some truly global adventures meeting all sorts – from leaders adorning the highest flights of philanthropy to outright villains!    Throw in a few rock bands into the mix  and we have  some  high octane journeys which often had the fun meter into the red!  I love to learn, discover, and make people laugh.  Adventures and excitement are great  things in life, but we must all remember along the way to give, and to help one another  to show respect  We share this planet and we have to treat each eachother and our fellow creatures with wisdom, humity and compassion
